4 Year Old Program

4 Year Old Program

Our 4 year old program provides a variety of learning experiences that promote whole-child development. Parents can choose a three day option (Weds/Thurs/Fri) or a five day option (Mon-Fri). For many children, this is their “Pre-K” year, and teachers are strategic about providing materials and planning activities that children can experience through play that promote school readiness. These activities support learning in all areas of development including:

  • Creative expression through art, music, and movement
  • Sensory exploration
  • Language and literacy skills through dramatic play, stories, and songs as well as writing and drawing to express ideas
  • Manipulative and motor skills
  • Daily exposure to math concepts and operations
  • Science activities that promote curiosity and inquiry
  • Social and emotional skills through interaction with their school family, including teachers and peers
  • Spiritual development through daily prayers, Christian stories and songs

Parents receive a Connection Letter from teachers every other week that describes the activities that have taken place in the classroom throughout the past two weeks. This letter provides a bridge between home and school that allows parents to get a snapshot of what their children have been learning and what they can reinforce at home.
